Amna bint Abdulaziz Al Thani is the Chief of Museum and Heritage Development at Qatar Museums. She previously served as the Deputy CEO of Museums, Collections and Heritage Protection and the Director of the National Museum of Qatar for a collective 13 years.
In her current role, Amna manages the strategic and operational planning of developing museums and heritage development projects. She oversees the development of museography, interpretation and narrative plans, organizational charts, workflow strategies, project scopes, budgets and financial planning while coordinating across the delivery teams and higher levels of management. In her practice, she ensures optimal work structures are intricately constructed and sourced to deliver the aspired KPIs.
Amna earned an MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and English from Carnegie Mellon University.
