Alberto Garlandini is a museologist and expert in cultural heritage management. He was President of ICOM and has held several positions within the organization since 2005, including the presidency of ICOM Italy and the presidency of the organizing committee of ICOM Milan 2016. He is a member of the board of administration of the National Museum of the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, president of the scientific committee of the Museo delle Scienze of Trento, member of the scientific committee of the Brescia Musei Foundation, president of the Abbonamento Musei Association. He lectures at universities and international conferences and has been the subject of numerous publications in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
