INTERCOM Bursary and Grants (CLOSED)

APPLICATION FOR A BURSARY OR TRAVEL GRANT TO PARTICIPATE THE CONFERENCE.

The International Council of Museums Committee for Management (ICOM-INTERCOM) will offer a limited number of travel grants for museum management professionals preferably from emerging economies and developing countries (ICOM country categories 3 and 4).

The grant will be given to the main authors of selected papers to join the Conference and present their paper in presence.

Candidates must be museum management professionals in leadership roles, who are employed full time in museums, cultural centres and universities related to museum activities.

Grants are not available to students, freelance/short-term contract workers, self-employed professionals, retired professionals.

Grants are not limited to ICOM INTERCOM members. Special consideration, however, will be given to individual members of ICOM INTERCOM, or Friend contributors of ICOM INTERCOM, or those working for an institution that is an institutional member of ICOM.

Please note that: INTERCOM defines an amount per person in advance which cannot exceed €1000;

Grantees pay their expenses and transfer all the invoices to INTERCOM after the event and the bursary is possible only if the justifying documents are provided.

If the total amount of invoices is inferior to €1000, INTERCOM reimburses only the invoices paid by the member. If the total amount of invoices is superior to €1000 the reimbursement of the INTERCOM is limited to €1000.

Per diems cannot be included in the grant and INTERCOM grants are not cumulable with other bursary the candidate might receive from other sources.

INTERCOM will cover 2 – 3 grants maximum. Other organizations might participate to the selection of candidates for 1 or 2 other grants, on the base of the same requirements criteria.

Members of the INTERCOM Board will select the grantees out of all applications received, taking into account geographical representation, candidate’s motivation and ability to attend.
